Entertainment Structures Group (ESG) announced that it will be the exclusive provider of structural engineering reports for Sapsis Rigging, Inc.
"There is an immediate and growing need for solid engineering information regarding the thousands of venues currently in service in this industry," says Shawn Nolan, division coordinator, ESG. "The entertainment industry regularly hangs shows in excess of 150,000 pounds in venues that are more than 30 years old without always knowing if the venues have the capacity to safely support these kinds of loads. Determining structural capacity is one of the key services that we provide."
As a provider of engineering services to the entertainment industry, ESG brings unique expertise to the structural report market. ESG is comprised of structural and mechanical engineers with diverse experience in the design and analysis of entertainment related projects. They also draw from the expertise of the more than 20 engineers in their parent company, Steven Schaefer Associates, Inc.
Being licensed in all 50 states allows ESG to address the unique needs of the entertainment industry and more importantly, the specific state building codes requirements, providing a much needed service to the venue managers engaged in day to day operations.
