Entertainment Design & Lighting Dimensions to Expand BizWire in 2002

More news, more projects, and more photos is the goal of David Barbour, editorial director for Entertainment Design and Lighting Dimensions, who has announced the expansion of BizWire, the popular front-of-the-book news section that has been a part of the magazines over the past few months.

Starting with the January 2002 issues of both publications, BizWire will now average six pages per month in Lighting Dimensions and four pages in Entertainment Design, with color photographs as well as up-to-the-minute news about a vast variety of industry projects. "This is a fantastic new way to increase the news coverage in both magazines," says Barbour. "We'll be starting the new year with a new look in both magazines, adding much more last-minute news and project information, with as many images as possible. This gives us the opportunity to bring even more information about projects and products to our readers."

While BizWire in Lighting Dimensions will concentrate on entertainment and architectural lighting, Entertainment Design's expanded BizWire will cover all aspects of entertainment design and technology, including audio, staging, rigging, software and hardware for all aspects of the industry. "There are so many building projects out there alone, not to mention " says David Johnson. "By increasing BizWire, we have an opportunity to cover many more projects and show the work of architects and designers by adding phtotos to this section."

Contact David Barbour at [email protected] or David Johnson at [email protected] for additional information about coverage in BizWire, the industry's most up-to-the-minute news in a magazine format.

Both magazines also have an active presence on the internet, with daily news updates at www.lightingdimensions.com and www.entertainmentdesignmag.com. "With two magazines, two websites, the annual LDI trade show, and now the expanded BizWire sections in the magazines, we have the most complete news service in the industry," says Jaqueline Tien, publisher of Entertainment Design and Lighting Dimensions. "This is an exciting opportunity for us to increase our coverage even further."
