ELS/USITT/IESNA Present Seminar on LEDs

Are you up to Speed on LEDs?

An event sponsored by ELS (Entertainment Lighting Services), in association with USITT (United States Institution of Theater Technology) and IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America), will address this issue.

The seminar features guest speaker Robert Gerlach. His research data, funded by USITT, will combine with live demonstrations to define and facilitate LEDs’ ultimate potential in entertainment illumination. New lighting technology products will be on display from manufactures, including architectural and entertainment LED fixtures and automated lighting.

The event is targeted to all lighting professionals and students interested in learning from new LED research that was purposely intended for entertainment and architectural applications.

When: Monday, November 17th, 2003
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: The ELS Show Theater, 11440 Sheldon Street, Sun Valley, CA
Admission: This is an educational event for professionals – no admission fees required. Food and drinks will be available.

Based in West Jordan, Utah, Robert Gerlach led a team of researchers through an extensive two-year investigation of LED illumination. The grant for the research was awarded from the USITT Edward F. Kook Foundation, for this first-of-its-kind study to comprehensively gather data for entertainment and architectural disciplines. Their findings were featured at USITT’s annual Conference and Stage Expo and the annual meeting of the IESNA.
