Element Labs Appoints Andrew Hawker Senior Project Manager

Element Labshas appointed Andrew Hawker as senior project manager for Europe and the Middle East. Hawker will be based in Element Labs' London offices and will lead the company's newly created European project management and support team.

Hawker has over 25 years experience working within the events, broadcast TV, and corporate communication industries. Prior to joining Element Labs, Hawker held senior commercial and technical positions at Blitz Communications and Creative Technology in London. Over the course of his career, he has played a key role in the success of many high-profile projects, including the Athens 2004 Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, where he acted as video and projection consultant for Jack Morton Public Events.

The appointment of Hawker forms part of Element Labs' continued investment in its growth and expansion strategy. Building on its long and successful partnerships with companies in the events, broadcast and architectural markets, Element Labs continues to enhance its professional infrastructure by creating a dedicated project management and support team based in the company's UK and Germany offices. The newly created team has three very specific goals: to help existing clients use innovative new technologies, to support new clients who use Element Labs products for the first time, and finally to help creative people, designers, and architects realize unique, custom projects in the entertainment and architectural markets.

Says Claas Ernst, European managing director for Element Labs, "We are enormously proud to have Andrew on board. He is well known and respected throughout the AV industry and he brings a wealth of experience—both technical and commercial—to the table. As we continue to expand, we seek to bring the industry's top profiles into the company, and Andrew is certainly one of them."

Adds Nils Thorjussen, CEO of Element Labs, "2008 will become a very exciting year for us. As we continue to expand our international footprint and roll-out the new products we have lined up for next year, we also continue to grow the team to support this growth."

Hawker concludes, "I have known the team at Element Labs for quite a few years now, and have seen the company grow and go from strength to strength over the past few years. Element Labs is at a very exciting point in the company's continued evolution. This is a very challenging time for me to join the company and help it realize its growth plans."
