Electric Feel Entertainment has opened its new Miami headquarters, a multi-story complex in the heart of Midtown. The facility brings together two world-class music production studios, creative offices, label spaces, dedicated listening environments and artist-focused hospitality across three floors, establishing a fully integrated home for one of the music industry’s most influential companies. WSDG was commissioned to perform the Acoustics, AV Systems and Lighting Design for the project.

Electric Feel Entertainment was founded in 2013 by CEO Austin Rosen and has grown into one of the most powerful and multi-faceted forces in contemporary music. The company’s A-list roster of musical icons, rising superstar artists, producers, songwriters, brands and partners includes Post Malone, Louis Bell, Billy Walsh and more. With established studios in West Hollywood and Nashville, the Miami facility is the company’s most ambitious project to date, offering a creative hub where artists, producers, executives, and partners could make music, develop ideas, and spend meaningful time together under one roof.

Electric Feel’s in-house team worked in close collaboration with WSDG’s David Molho, Leandro Kirjner, Silvia Molho, Federico Paez, Sergio Molho and John Storyk on all aspects of acoustic, AV systems and interior and exterior lighting design. Nick Mac, the studio’s Chief of Engineering and Studio Technical Director, oversaw AV systems installation. The building’s architect was Vertical Design Studio, and the studios were constructed by Christian Ustarroz of Built by Rosetone. Interior design was developed by Electric Feel in partnership with Carlos Rodriguez of Escala Forma. WSDG was responsible for construction supervision and the final tuning and certification of the studio system.

“Electric Feel turned to WSDG for the acoustic precision and craftsmanship we’ve brought to some of the world’s most celebrated studio projects,” says David Molho, Partner, Acoustics at WSDG. “They had seen what we had done at Rue Boyer (Mix With The Masters Paris studio), Spotify and other landmark recording facilities, and they wanted that same level of precision and craft for their most important studio complex.”

World-class acoustic design

At the heart of the facility’s ground floor are two acoustically identical 345-square-foot control rooms: the Jade Room and the Onyx Room. Both share the same optimized symmetrical layout and acoustic treatment approach, while featuring distinct equipment configurations, giving artists and engineers two complementary production environments within a single facility.

Both control rooms were developed through advanced acoustic analysis and simulation, utilizing proprietary FEM (finite element method) modeling. A full room-within-a-room construction, with additional masonry separation between spaces, provides a high degree of sound isolation suited to the facility’s primary focus on hip-hop and contemporary pop production. The acoustic treatment strategy incorporates six distinct typologies, each targeting specific frequency ranges based on detailed pre-construction simulations.

The centerpiece of each room’s rear wall is a custom 13-foot fractal diffuser, providing broadband diffusion across the full listening environment. Complementing this are arrays of perforated, micro-perforated and slotted-panel treatments that work in concert to deliver an even, controlled frequency response across all listening positions. With the exception of the rear diffuser, all acoustic treatment elements are concealed behind acoustically transparent fabric, creating a seamless, minimalist aesthetic that gives no visual indication of the sophisticated engineering beneath the surface.

Each control room is paired with a dedicated ISO booth and private lounge. A full Dante audio-over-IP infrastructure connects every space in the building, enabling multi-room audio routing, collaboration, and content sharing across all floors. Mogami cabling is used throughout the facility, and Lutron Ketra tunable lighting provides a dynamically programmable environment in both studios and their lounges.

The Jade Room

The Jade Room is anchored by the first SSL Oracle console installed in the United States, bringing together the power of a large-format console with next-generation ActiveAnalogue™ control. Featuring Instant Recall across the entire console, Oracle enables engineers to move seamlessly between tracking, mixing, and overdub sessions while preserving the sonic integrity, depth, and tactile confidence of SSL’s renowned analogue designs.

“Having the first SSL Oracle installed in the United States at Electric Feel Entertainment is a landmark moment. We’re delighted that the first of a new generation of analogue console design has been chosen for such a prestigious facility,” said Niall Feldman, Director of Special Projects, Solid State Logic. “Oracle’s revolutionary ActiveAnalogue™ technology preserves the sonic depth and creative power of a true SSL analogue console, while its instant recall transforms session turnaround — giving artists and engineers the freedom to work faster, more efficiently, and without compromise.”

The Jade Room’s monitoring system is built around Genelec 1236A main monitors, paired with a full Genelec Dolby Atmos immersive audio system covering all contemporary delivery formats from stereo streaming to spatial audio. The room features a custom marble console and producer desks, from which it takes its name. The adjoining Jade Lounge features a custom-painted Void Acoustics system with four Airten V3 loudspeakers and a Venu 215 subwoofer, extending the premium listening experience beyond the control room.

The Onyx Room

Central to the Onyx Room is an SSL AWS 948 ∂elta console, consistent with the SSL AWS 948 consoles in use at Electric Feel’s Hollywood and Nashville facilities. The main monitoring system is a Symphonic Acoustics 2xV15 loudspeaker system with dual 1SW18 CUST 18-inch custom subwoofers, providing exceptional low-frequency accuracy and dynamic range. Genelec 8361A coaxial monitors serve as the secondary reference system. Like the Jade Room, the Onyx Room features custom console and producer desks. The Onyx Lounge includes Genelec 4435A Smart IP in-ceiling speakers.

“Genelec is proud to be part of the Electric Feel music experience as it continues to grow from Los Angeles to Nashville and now Miami,” states Will Eggleston, Genelec Inc., marketing director. “Working in concert with WSDG and Electric Feel, we’re helping to create inspiring environments that give artists, producers and engineers the tools and creative freedom to explore new musical soundscapes within South Florida’s growing and exciting music community. When I saw WSDG’s facility drawings, I was struck by the exceptional integration of design, function and technology they envisioned for Electric Feel’s new Miami creative space. Seeing that vision brought to life is even more impressive.”

Signal chain and studio infrastructure

Both studios run Avid Pro Tools HDX as their primary DAW platform, with Avid MTRX II interfaces providing high-performance audio conversion at the core of each room’s hybrid analog and digital workflow. The outboard complement includes Sony C800G tube condenser microphones, Neve 1073 mic preamps, Tube-Tech CL 1B optical compressors, Pultec EQP-1A passive equalizers, Universal Audio LA-2A leveling amplifiers and API 2500 stereo bus compressors. The instrument collection includes a Roland Juno-106, an Oberheim OB-8 analog synthesizer and a Moog Voyager, alongside a broad range of guitars and amplifiers.

“Every technical decision was made to support the way a variety of artists, producers, and engineers work,” says Molho. “Jade and Onyx offer distinct creative and sonic experiences, but both deliver the same level of accuracy, flexibility, and reliability. The combination of SSL consoles, Dante infrastructure, Pro Tools HDX, and integrated monitoring allows seamless movement from writing and tracking through mixing and immersive delivery, with the technology supporting the creative process rather than interrupting.”

System calibration and tuning were carried out by the WSDG team and required minimal corrective adjustment during the calibration process, a direct result of the accuracy of the acoustic modeling and construction quality.

“As soon as we powered up the rooms, it was clear how accurate the design and construction had been,” adds Molho. “We only needed minimal fine-tuning during calibration, which is always the goal as it means the room is already performing exactly as intended.”

Offering high-touch experience throughout the facility

Beyond the two production studios, Electric Feel Miami functions as a fully integrated creative headquarters. The second floor houses Electric Feel’s label offices, a dedicated listening room equipped with Augspurger Treo 1015-V speakers and an executive office featuring Genelec 8381A Adaptive Point Source main monitors. The rooftop houses a private restaurant, bar and event space with a professional kitchen and retractable awning, served by 16 Void Cyclone 55 loudspeakers with six Cyclone subwoofers.

Already attracting industry recognition, the new Miami facility has been named a finalist in the Studio Design Project category of the coveted 42nd Annual NAMM TEC Awards. Voting will take place from 1–31 December 2026, with the winner to be announced at the TEC Awards ceremony on Thursday, 28 January 2027, during The 2027 NAMM Show.

“This project is a great example of what can happen when a client has a clear vision and the right design team comes together to realize it,” concludes John Storyk, Founding Partner and Architect at WSDG. “At WSDG, we’ve always valued long-term relationships and close collaboration, and working with Electric Feel and partners like Genelec and SSL has been exactly that - a shared commitment to creating something exceptional. Megaprojects like this don’t happen in isolation; they are the result of trust, expertise and a collective passion for pushing the boundaries of what a studio can be.”
