Elation Power Spot 250 Nominated For Club World Award

The Power Spot 250 by Elation Professional has been nominated for a 2004 Club World Award. Combining a DMX moving head spot effect and a 4.9mW red laser, the Power Spot 250 was selected as one of only four nominees in “Best Lighting Product” category, in an announcement made by the Club Show, Club Systems International, and The Club World Awards.

The Club World Awards – also known as the "disco globes" after their mirror ball trophies – honor excellence in the nightlife industry. This year’s awards ceremony will take place at the 2004 Club Show on February 5, 2004 at the MGM Grand’s Tabu Ultra-Lounge in Las Vegas.

“We are honored that the Power Spot 250 has been included in such a select group of nominees for this very impressive industry award,” commented Scott Davies, general manager of the American DJ Group of Companies, parent company of Elation Professional. “When we developed the Power Spot 250, we felt it would set new standards in innovativeness, performance, quality and value in a club lighting fixture. Now, with the Club World Award nomination, it is achieving recognition from the entire nightclub industry.”

The Club World Award nominations are determined by the staff of industry trade magazine Club Systems International and its sister publication DJ Times. “The nominations are meant to reflect what’s hot in the nightlife industry right now,” says Kerri Mason, editor of Club Systems.

The Club World Awards were launched last year as part of The Club Show, a convention for nightlife professionals and the official trade show of Club Systems. This year, The Club Show is scheduled for February 4-5, 2004 at the Riviera Convention Center in Las Vegas, and will include an extensive exhibit hall, a full schedule of in-depth panel discussions, and six high-concept evening events, in addition to the Awards Ceremony. The winners of the Club Awards are determined by an independent panel of qualified judges.

This year's Club World Awards will be handed out in a private ceremony at the lavish Tabu Ultra-Lounge, their original home, and a “Best Lounge” nominee this year. An independent panel of qualified judges (which will be revealed in mid-December) determines the winners.

The Power Spot 250’s Cub World Award nomination represents the latest in a long list of accolades won by the American DJ Group of Companies for their superior products, ranging from the Musical Merchandise Review “Dealers Choice Award” to awards handed out at The Entertainment Technology Show - LDI 2003.
