DAL, LLC announces that it has purchased the assets of Dunlavy Audio Labs, Inc. as of November 19, 2001.
Dunlavy Audio Labs was established in 1992 by John Dunlavy, an internationally known engineer / physicist who has the reputation of being the designer and manufacturer of the world's most accurate loudspeakers for discriminating audiophiles and professional recording engineers.
John Dunlavy will continue to play a key role within Dunlavy Audio Labs as its principal engineer for new product design and development. John commented on the sale, "The sale of DAL allows me the freedom to work exclusively on R&D, new product design and engineering for the company. This will allow me the time to fully develop a number of new and innovative design concepts."
DAL, LLC is owned by Keny Whitright who also owns Wybron, Inc., located adjacent to Dunlavy Audio Labs in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1980, Keny Whitright invented the first scrolling color changer which pushed forward the boundaries of lighting design. With innovation as its central tenet, Wybron's products are the industry standard in high-tech lighting products for the entertainment industry.
Keny Whitright said of his purchase of Dunlavy Audio Labs, "We are extremely excited about the opportunity of bringing Dunlavy and Wybron under one umbrella. Dunlavy Audio Labs will continue to operate the business at its current location in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.
