Jane and Tera Childs have announced a schedule of events of celebrate the life of Donald Childs, who passed away on December 18, 2011:
• January 14, 2012 USITT-SW Symposium, Stillwater OK, 9pm.
• March 31, 2012 USITT National Convention at Long Beach, CA, after close of Stage Expo.
• April 15, 2012 Family Gathering in Don's hometown of Boscobel, WI in the Main Park all afternoon. Members of Don's theatre family are all welcome as well.
"We are collecting comments, memories, photos, videos—anything that you would care to send us to include in the Donald J. Childs Legacy File," says Jane Childs. "If you have already expressed your memories to us, we will include these unless you would prefer to keep it personal. Please let us know! Donald respected the integrity of others equal to holding his own as a beacon!"
