Deadline Set for Hemsley Internship Applications

The time is now to apply for the Gilbert V. Hemsley Jr. Internship in Lighting at New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, and the Lincoln Center Festival. Applications are being taken from January 1-February 15th, 2002. Interviews for finalists will be held in New York in early April.

The internship is named for the distinguished lighting designer Hemsley, whose credits included the Broadway hits Jumpers, I Love My Wife, and Sugar Babies, as well as the famous Houston Grand Opera production of Porgy and Bess, and who dedicated his life to the training of young theatre professionals.
