Kirkegaard Associates, the Chicago-based consulting firm specializing in architectural acoustics and audio/video systems design, has added Jonathan Darling to its AV Systems Group as of April 1.
Darling comes to Kirkegaard with nearly 20 years of experience. He spend over 15 years at Northwestern University, where he was the sound design supervisor and taught classes in theatre sound and stagecraft. He has also worked steadily as a sound designer in the Chicago area on such projects as Titanic at the Northwestern University Mainstage, Kismet for Light Opera Works, and The Wizard of Menlo Park for Face to Face Productions.
In addition to his design work, Darling is also an active member of USITT, serving as commission officer and chairing numerous presentations. He received his Masters of Fine Arts in Stage Design from Case Western Reserve University.
