Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Cody grew up in the entertainment and theatre community attending a performing arts high school and studying theatre technology and management in college.
His professional career began at sea working with Celebrity Cruises as a stage & production manager, traveling the world, working on Broadway-style shows in brand new theatres with state-of-the-art technology. That job would eventually land him in the corporate offices for Celebrity Cruises and later Royal Caribbean Cruises in Miami, FL as artistic & technical entertainment operations lead, where Cody oversaw the technical and production operations onboard the ships and in the production studios in South Florida. With all of the knowledge from new ship builds and emerging technology, Cody moved to the trade show world with Chauvet & Sons as trade show & special events production manager, where he managed the company’s presence at many trade shows, including LDI.
Later an opportunity arose to be on the other side of the re-book desk with the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) where Cody excelled in the role of sales manager, looking after all exhibition, advertising and sponsorship opportunities and assisting in producing the annual conference and expo. Cody is excited to bring all of his knowledge and expertise to his new role as senior account executive with Questex and the LDI/Live Design team. He is looking forward to seeing everyone safely and in-person in November!
