Chaos Visual Productions Donates $5000 to the Wally Foundation

The Wally Russell Foundation is pleased to announce a contribution of $5000.00 from Chaos Visual Productions in support of the ongoing work of the Wally Foundation. The Foundation provides annual support to the Los Angeles Opera and Canadian Opera, as well as providing the annual Wally Russell Lifetime Achievement Award annually at the annual LDI tradeshow.

“It’s a clear sign that the economy has turned around and the entertainment technology industry is once again funding the important programs that are the heart and soul of the Wally Foundation’s mission,” commented Tom Folsom, chairman of the foundation.

John Wiseman, lighting industry veteran and founder of Chaos notes, “Wally Russell’s impact on our industry has been both broad and deep. We at Chaos are proud to continue Wally’s vision and continue supporting the Foundation’s work in providing grants for lighting internships at both the Los Angeles Opera and the Canadian National Opera.”

The Wally Russell Foundation’s Internship Scholarship Program fosters and encourages talent and creativity on the part of newcomers to the entertainment industry through its alliances with the Los Angeles Opera (where Russell served as the founding Technical Director) and the Canadian Opera Company where Russell also served as Technical Director.

Additionally the Foundation supports two WALLY Awards:
The Lifetime Achievement Award presented on an annual basis to an individual who has, during their career, made outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry.
The Most Promising Newcomer Award presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional promise in their chosen field within the industry
