CA design firms merge to form Visual Terrain, Inc.

Van Nuys, CA-based Moody Ravitz Hollingsworth Lighting Design, Inc., and Valencia, CA -based Passamonte Lighting Design, Inc., have merged their business operations. The combined company will be named Visual Terrain, Inc. Visual Terrain unites two award-winning lighting and theatrical design teams to serve both the architectural and entertainment markets.

The executive officers are:

  • James L. Moody, a director of photography whose work can be seen nightly on Wheel of Fortune, will serve as principal and CEO.
  • Jeff Ravitz, principal, is a designer of broadcast and show lighting for concerts, specials and network television.
  • Lisa Passamonte Green, principal, is an award-winning lighting designer of architectural and themed environments. She most recently completed the Templo del Fuego (Temple of Fire) attraction at Universal Studios Port Aventura theme park in Spain.
  • Dawn Hollingsworth, principal and CFO, designs lighting for architectural and destination entertainment projects, and serves as managing principal of the company. Hollingsworth was named Architectural Lighting Designer of the Year 2000 for her work on the landmark LAX Gateway, Los Angeles.

Visual Terrain corporate offices are located at 14141 Covello St., Suite 4B, Van Nuys, CA 91405. The company will maintain an office at 28075 Avenue Stanford, Valencia, CA 91355 until consolidation is completed. A new website at www.visualterrain.net is targeted for launch before June 2001.
