BSMC To Visit Masque Sound June 27

Attendees at the inaugural BSMC (Broadway Sound Master Classes) will have the opportunity to tour the acclaimed Masque Sound Studios on Friday, June 27, as a lead-in to the two days of classes on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29. Attendees are also invited to the 2003 EDDY Awards on Friday evening as part of the weekend's activities at John Jay College Theare in Manhattan.

The tour of the famous Masque Sound Studios will feature the dean of sound effects, John Kilgore, speaking on the creation, maintenance, and long-term storage of effects for the theatre. Masque Sound's Recording Division, located in the heart of New York's Broadway theatre district, is the primary resource for sound designers working on Broadway. The studio counts among its customers some of the most discriminating and demanding clients in the world of theatre, dance, music, special events, and postproduction, as well as high-profile television productions such as ABC's Good Morning America, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and Live with Regis and Kelly.

Masque also supplies sound equipment to Broadway shows and tours.
