Bossert Joins Color Kinetics

Color Kinetics Incorporated announced the appointment of Ellen Bossert as vice president of marketing. As a member of Color Kinetics’ executive team, Bossert will lead the company’s worldwide marketing strategy and manage the evolution of its brand as an industry leader in intelligent solid-state lighting solutions.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Ellen, who joins the company during an exciting time of growth and positioning for the future,” says Bill Sims, president and CEO, Color Kinetics. “We have successfully transitioned from an emerging start-up organization to a growing public concern, and the opportunity to penetrate the larger, general lighting market presents a host of new research, marketing and communications requirements. As such, Ellen’s considerable expertise will help us identify these new requirements and accordingly shape the new public face of Color Kinetics and its brand.”

Bossert has a track record of creatively fostering new strategies for market branding that alter industry paradigms, which makes her an ideal choice for the innovation-focused company.

“Color Kinetics is widely recognized for its leadership in envisioning and delivering emergent technology, as well as supporting and cultivating awareness for the markets that now embrace intelligent solid-state lighting,” says Bossert. “I truly believe Color Kinetics will transform the way our world imagines and applies light -- for business, entertainment, and residential use. With such tremendous opportunity ahead, I look forward to driving the global marketing initiatives that will help the company best realize our mission to enable ‘light without limits™.’”
