A Bigger Home by the Bay for Bay Stage

Bay Stage Lighting Company, a fixture on Mac Dill Avenue just south of Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa, FL for over 45 years, has now doubled its size and moved to its new location while also expanding its services. The company has purchased a larger building at 4008 W. Alva Street in Tampa.

Bay Stage Lighting is a one-stop shopping service company for the entertainment industry from lighting, sound, and stages to curtains, special effects, accessories, equipment, and consumables. The company handles rentals, sales, design, consultations, repairs, and production. Founded in 1956 by Sam Marino, Big Stage Lighting is now owned and operated by Yvonne and Brian Justo. Yvonne Justo says, "Our new and larger location will allow Bay Stage Lighting to better serve our customers. Over the past five years, we have invested heavily in the latest technology to better stock our rental inventory. At the same time, we have greatly increased our list of suppliers to make sure that we could supply the rental and purchase needs of our customers. We have initiated our design and consultation services and now offer full CAD design for shows, conventions, clubs, theatres, etc.

Bay Stage Lighting also provides stages, sound, labor, and production assistance for large events like the Olympics and Super Bowls, but also for smaller events like church and school functions, pageants, boxing matches, and other event. "Our aim is to remain the leader in the Tampa Bay area providing a full service company for all professional entertainment applications, no matter the size, Yvonne Justo continues.

The new 15,800-sq.-ft. facility already has rental and sales inventories in place and fully operational; work is underway for the development of new offices, a conference room, show room, sales department, stock room, and training facility. Bay Stage Lighting's official hours of operation are weekdays from 9 to 5 PM and on Saturday from 9 till noon. A grand opening is being planned and details will be made available soon.
