Big Apple Institute presents LED Technology plus Wireless Dimming

Where: The Flea Theatre,41 White Street, NYC (two block south of Canal between Broadway and Church)

After their August discussion and demonstration of LED products and their usage in theatre, Big Apple Institute decided to broaden their investigation into LED technology. On November 6th, at the Flea Theatre, they will present additional LED products including multiple watt LED sources, the Pixel PARs, the Spectrum PAR, products from Color Kinetics, and a new product–the Selador X7.

Speakers will include Gary Fails of City Theatrical, Kyle Chepulis of Technical Artistry, Gary Dulanski of The Dulanski Group, John Fahnestock of Altman Stage Lighting, and Rob Gerlach of Selador. Big Apple Institute anticipates a lively discussion with these industry experts on the future of LEDs in theatre.

Gary Fails will demonstrate available accessories as well as offer a comparison of different LED products and conventional fixtures. We will discuss color mixing capabilities, relative intensity, and managing DMX control of multiple units. As an added bonus, Fails will demonstrate his newest wireless dimming product, the WDS Wireless Data System.
