Beldecos to Speak on Lighting Design at AIA Georgia Convention

Andrew Beldecos, LC, MIES, a senior lighting consultant at design consulting firm CDAI, will be a speaker at the American Institute of Architects Georgia State Convention in Atlanta on October 18, 2002. The theme of the convention is Foundations for Success. Beldecos will speak on Lighting Design: Concept to Construction. His presentation will provide a review of the process and the players involved in a typical (and often non-typical) journey that a lighting design takes from initial concept to realization of the lighting as an integral part of a successful project.

Beldecos has over 19 years of professional lighting design, acoustics, electrical engineering, and project management experience, encompassing corporate headquarters and office spaces, museums, schools, retail spaces, convention and conference centers, entertainment facilities, theatres, studios, sports facilities, medical facilities, and video and teleconferencing facilities. He is NCQLP Lighting Certified (LC), an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the recipient of numerous International Illumination Design Awards. He chairs the IES Committee for Lighting of Multi-Media Presentation & Video Teleconferencing Facilities (MMVT) and is a past Chairman of the IES Design Process Committee.
