Bandit Lites Joins VARI*LITE Dealer Network

Two of the biggest names in the lighting industry have joined forces to provide lighting designers and end users another viable option for securing VARI*LITE® automated luminaires for their rental needs. Bandit Lites, the oldest company in the lighting industry, is now a member of the Vari-Lite dealer network.

As an official VARI*LITE dealer, Bandit Lites now offers the complete line of VARI*LITE automated lighting products, and will have immediate access to the new VL3500 luminaires recently introduced at a product launch in New York. The VL3500 luminaire is a 1200-W spot fixture with automated shutter capabilities.

"The addition of Bandit Lites to the Vari-Lite dealer network brings about great new opportunities for the lighting industry," said Vari-Lite vice president of sales Bob Schacherl. "Bandit Lites has been one of the biggest names in the industry for the past 35 years. Their client list is quite impressive, and we look forward to seeing VARI*LITE fixtures added to many of their tours and events over the coming months."

The first artist to take advantage of the relationship between Bandit Lites and Vari-Lite was REM, with lighting designer Susan Sasic incorporating VL3000 Wash luminaires into the design.

"With the advent of the Series 3000 fixtures, and the introduction of the VL3500 luminaires, the market is dictating that we ramp up our stock of VARI*LITE fixtures," said Bandit Lites vice president Richard Willis. "The VL3000 Spot luminaire is the light. It is a fantastic fixture, and we are excited to offer it to our customers."

"Bandit Lites is in the business of providing service to our end users. Our customers expect top-quality service, and that is what we intend to deliver. A major component of maintaining that level of service, is increasing our inventory to include the best lighting tools on the market and making those available to our discriminating clientele."
