Bandit Lights Irish Tenors, Wins Web Award

Bandit Lites

recently supplied lighting for two concert dates in Dublin for The Irish Tenors, the classical music act beloved by PBS watchers everywhere. Although Bandit has an office in Dublin, the shows were handled out of the office in the United Kingdom. “The Dublin office is so covered up with work, that we asked the UK office to pitch in on this one,” managing director Phay MacMahon, explained.

Production manager for the events was Harry Tucker and the LD was Steve Fallon. The Bandit crew consisted of Stephen “Nipper” Fitch as crew chief and Jim Allison as moving light technician. Major equipment consisted of an expansive three-truss system with a Wholehog II control desk. Other major equipment included x.Spots, Studio Beam PCs, and Studio Color 575s from High End Systems.

In other developments, Bandit's website has been awarded the prestigious 2002-2003 Golden Web Award. After being evaluated by the International Association of Web Masters and Designers, the website received the award out of thousands of submissions.

“If you’re known by the company you keep, then we keep pretty good company,” said Michael Strickland, Bandit Lites CEO. The award has been previously given to the companies such as Novell, Microsoft, IBM, MSNBC, and Yahoo for their websites. “This is a highly prized and sought-after award,” Strickland concluded.
