Bandit Lights Farm Aid 2002

Since 1985, Farm Aid co-founders Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Neil Young have brought hundreds of artists and thousands of Americans together to help keep family farmers on their land. Bandit Lites vice president Richard Willis comments, "Bandit Lites’ support of Farm Aid is truly an extension of our Humanomics philosophy. Farms need people and people need farms. The backbone of this great nation is its farmers. Their continued success helps us all."

Bandit Lites calls the American heartland home, and many of its employees share the same small town background of the event’s founders. Every year, numerous employees request to work the show so that they personally can help make Farm Aid a success, a sentiment echoed by CEO Michael Strickland: "Bandit Lites is honored to work with such a fine collection of dedicated professionals each year. The opportunity to assist the farmers of this country, who so dearly need the support, is something we can not turn away from. We urge everyone to help as much as they can."

This year’s lighting system has been designed by Emmy Award nominee Stan Crocker; this is the LD’s first Farm Aid. Crocker’s design is a combination of Martin and High End Systems moving lights. The rig features both the Martin MAC 2000 profile and the brand new MAC 2000 wash fixture. Crocker is also using several High End Cyberlights for added effects and beam-shaping.
