AV Concepts has appointed Matt Farmelant to the position of director of hotel services. In this position, Farmelant will supervise the development of AV Concepts’ in-house audio-visual related sales efforts in markets throughout the Southwest and West Coast. Farmelant will work with resort executives to facilitate a strong working relationship with both the resorts and their clients. He will also take an active role in the American Hotel Association as well as local chambers of commerce and convention and visitor bureaus.

Farmelant brings more than 10 years of audio-visual and hospitality management to the position. In 2002, after many years in hotel audio-visual management, he joined AV Concepts as the Director of Audio-Visual Services at the Phoenix Civic Plaza. In this role, Farmelant oversaw more than 750,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and was also responsible for directing and executing large scale staging events.
