Congratulations to all the winners of the 2023 Drama Desk Awards!
The awards ceremony will take place on June 6 at Sardi's Restaurant in New York's Theatre District. The Drama Desk Awards recognize New York City productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway competing against each other in the same categories.
Tony® and Emmy Award winner Mandy Patinkin (Evita and “Homeland”) and two-time Obie Award winner Kathryn Grody (The Marriage of Bette and Boo; A Mom’s Life) will host the ceremony.
This year, Some Like It Hot was honored with eight Drama Desk Awards, including Gregg Barnes for costumes. Life of Pi won four awards, including two design awards for Tim Hatley's scenery and Andrzej Goulding projection and video. About The Drama Desk
The Drama Desk was founded in 1949 to explore key issues in the theater and to bring together critics and writers in an organization to support the ongoing development of theater in New York. The organization began presenting its awards in 1955, and it is the only critics’ organization to honor achievement in the theater with competition among Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway productions in the same categories.
