31 Days Of Plots: Chicken & Biscuits

Live Design's fourth annual 31 Days Of Plots features one production per day during the month of December 2021, highlighting a different lighting design, from across theatre, concert tours, corporate events, live for broadcast, and more, as we wind down 2021 and head toward the new year.

Day 6 of 31 Days Of Plots 2021 takes a look at the multiple plots for the new play, Chicken & Biscuits, which premiered on Broadway this fall, closing on November 28, 2021. This comedy about a funeral —full of family secrets—marks the Broadway debut for Adam Honoré as lighting designer.

His work was acclaimed in the press including this shout-out by reviewer Toussaint Jeanlouis. "Adam Honoré (lighting design) dazzles us with warm colors that evoke intimacy and bring out the inner light of each member of the congregation. As the lights grow brighter, so do we in spirit and thought. The stage is lit with love."
