9:30-11am: Q&A With Matt Herr, FOH Mixer for Sir Elton John
Matt Herr discusses Thursday night’s performance by Sir Elton John's Million Dollar Piano (part of the CSMC curriculum) and answers questions about his career and his thoughts on the concert touring industry.



11am-12pm: RF System Design, presented by Howard Kaufman from Lectrosonics

Saturday, October 20

9:30-11:30am David Scheirman: Careers in Concert Sound: An Industry Overview
How and where does one go about gaining the tools for lifelong learning, in order to be positioned for career success in this dynamic, competitive field? Spend time with a well-known industry veteran exploring today’s career options, while listening to live-show mix examples, reviewing sound system design projects, and taking a close look at specific live sound challenges and solutions from decades spent working on concert sound events around the world. International live sound icon and FOH veteran David Scheirman’s credits include Linda Ronstadt, ELO, Sheena Easton, Jimmy Buffet, George Benson and many more.

11:45am-1pm: Michael D. Jackson: Behind the Board.
FOH system tech for The Allman Brothers Band and FOH mixer for Gregg Allman, Jackson is a specialist in not just system alignment and mixing, but also long-term system and client care as well as corporate special events.

Sunday October 21

Applying high end technology to concert touring, discuss and demonstrate how we apply science and experience to apply large format line arrays to changing venues around the globe.

10:45am-12pm: Kevin Harvey, the Englishman in Las Vegas: “It’s Vegas, Baby”
Kevin takes you on a journey from touring with Black Sabbath to his work with acts such as The Canadian Tenors into his current ‘day job’ overseeing sound for multiple concert venues at the Smith Center, located in the heart of the entertainment center, the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.
