CMC Speaker Spotlight: Jason Badger

Jason Badger is a lighting and theatrical effects programmer/designer based in Southern California. He hasprogrammed over 100 shows, attractions and events at Disney parks around the world including the recent World of Color nighttime spectacular and Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park. His theatrical credits include The Ring Cycle for the Los Angeles Opera, and Broadway productions of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, Martin Short’s Fame Becomes Me, Next to Normal, and Riverdance. His TV credits include shows for Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, VH1, and MTV, and music videos for Beyonce, Brad Paisley and Britney Spears. Seven Bruce Springsteen tours, two Styx tours and the Eagles Farewell 1 tour also featured his programming expertise.

He joins the faculty of the Live Design Concert Master Classes at USC in Los Angeles, participating in a panel on December 4: Programmers: The Design Perspective From Behind The Console, and discussing the programmers' role and how they extend the reach of the designer.
