Master Classes Discount Extended Through May 1, 2008

The special $100 discount on all 2008 Live Design Master Classes has now been extended through May 1, 2008. This is the perfect opportunity for people from around the world to attend the BLMC, May 20-22 at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, the BSMC, May 16-18 at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and the Projection Master Classes at XL LED Lab in SoHo, NYC on May 19, and save $100 on all prices across-the-board for students, association members, and professionals.

The combined faculty for the acclaimed 2008 Live Design Master Classes—led by legendary sound designer Abe Jacob and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Jules Fisher—represents the top names working on Broadway today: "Once again Abe and Jules have managed to pull together the top designers on Broadway for the Master Classes," says David Johnson, Live Design’s associate publisher and editorial director. "This is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity that no aspiring designer should miss.”

BLMC attendees will see the hot new Broadway musical, Passing Strange, with lighting by Kevin Adams on Wednesday, May 21; and on Friday evening, May 16, BSMC kicks off at a performance of Young Frankenstein on Broadway, with sound design by Jonathan Deans. Post-show discussions will be held in each theatre, with an in-depth analysis of the design the next day during the Classes.

With the addition of a new perspective on the Projection Master Classes at the innovative XL LED Lab, where dozens of high-tech LED installations line the walls, this year’s sessions tackle the latest in projection technology and design, with a look at applications from a variety of angles.
