The dates have been announced for the 2014 Live Design Broadway Master Classes scheduled for May 30-June 6, 2014 in New York City. The weeklong schedule for the BMC’s includes in-depth classes in design for lighting, projection, and sound with an accent on Broadway (the scenic classes are on hiatus this year). An expanded awards ceremony is on the drawing boards for Friday evening, June 6, and the new LDI-NYC concept of a mini trade show for lighting, projection, and sound gear will be repeated this year after a launch in 2013.
The schedule for the 2014 Broadway Master Classes is as follows:
May 30-June 1: 21st Anniversary of the Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC). Jules Fisher, creative consultant. At the Baryshnikov Arts Center, 450 W. 37th Street, NYC on May 30 and 31; luncheon and two panels at Sardi’s restaurant at 234 W. 44th Street, NYC on June 1.
June 2 & 3: Broadway Projection Master Classes. Zachary Borovay, creative consultant. NYU Tisch School of the Arts, 721 Broadway, NYC.
June 4, 5 & 6: Broadway Sound Master Classes. Abe Jacob, creative consultant. NYU Tisch School of the Arts, 721 Broadway, NYC.
