Marcel DeKeyzer

In 1996, Marcel DeKeyzer, with his brother Rene began XL Video in Belgium and California. XL Video’s first major job was at the Formula One Grand Prix in Australia. After much success, DeKeyzer opened an office in Atlanta to provide services to the Olympic Games. Working tirelessly to build XL into the company it is today, Marcel’s passion for LEDs comes through with each project XL Video develops and assembles. Understanding that images can be very powerful; that they can magnify the impact of any event: concerts, sporting events, theatre performances, television or trade shows the company established itself as the international market leader in the field of video production. Today XL Video is involved in a vast range of projects including major concerts, auto shows and sporting events around the world. XL Video offices can be found in Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, the UK, and China as well as Atlanta, Detroit, New York, and Los Angeles. XL Video is a global player offering experience, expertise, and innovation that works closely with both the leading manufactures of this state-of-the-art technology and the designers whose creative imagination moves the application of this technology forward.

This year Marcel is pleased to offer the new XL LED Lab in New York City as a resource to designers and architects. This is a working space that highlights the latest products for video and digital lighting. This first of its kind LED Lab has over 40 separate full-scale installations of the leading LED video products from a range of top manufacturers, all of which can be used for both entertainment and architectural projects. The space welcomes set designers, lighting designers, architects, interior designers, trade show designers, environment designers, etc, giving them all an opportunity to explore all the creative LED video products that exist, how to work with them, and how to integrate them into their designs. Marcel conceived the XL LED Lab as a venue where production companies, exhibit companies, and design companies can both discover and experiment with different products and application ideas.
