Lights, Camera, Action: TV Lighting Master Classes Speakers Announced

Lights, camera, action: it’s time for the third annual Live Design Television Lighting Master Classes, to be held on Monday and Tuesday, December 8 & 9 at PRG in Los Angeles. A Primetime Emmy Award-winning television lighting designer, Jeff Ravitz has once again lined up a stellar faculty to bring the best of television lighting and technology into focus for two days of illuminating sessions (including a tour of a television studio).

Having designed television lighting for concerts, stand-up comedy, talk shows, awards shows, game shows, in-studio broadcasts, news magazines, infomercials, sitcoms, live events, and spectaculars for TV, webcasts, green screen, and high definition, Ravitz is a master at the task: check out his impressive IMDb credits.

At this year's TVLMC, Ravitz will be joined by his friend and colleague, television’s most distinguished, accomplished, and legendary lighting designer, Bill Klages, a seven-time Primetime Emmy winner and the only lighting designer to be inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame. Some of his endless credits: Atlanta Olympic Games, The Grammy Awards, The Tony Awards, The Emmy Awards, The Republican National Convention (Houston 1992, Philadelphia 2000, New York 2004, St. Paul 2008), L.A. Olympics Closing Ceremonies, The Statue of Liberty Celebration, The Kennedy Center Honors broadcasts.
