The MAC III Wash, the final luminaire in Martin Professional’s successful 1500-watt MAC III family of moving heads, is now available. A full-feature, full-range wash luminaire with an outstanding light quality and color palette, it excels at projecting an intense yet even field of light and has the added ability of shaping the beam through an internal barndoor system, a unique feature for a Fresnel light.
Internal barndoors
The MAC III Wash features a unique internal barndoor system (shutters) that enables designers to shape projection onto stages, performers, scenery, scrims or any set element with great precision.
Fully linear zoom
The MAC III Wash houses a 1:4 fully linear zoom that requires no lens changes and unlike other fixtures, the MAC III Wash maintains near full efficiency throughout the entire zoom range with no visible beam jump when zooming from tight to wide and no drop in lumens output.
The intelligent 2.5 kW daylight Fresnel replacement
At over 50,000 lumens of power, output from the MAC III Wash matches that of conventional 2.5 kW daylight Fresnel fixtures yet the MAC III Wash offers all the benefits of a Martin Professional automated luminaire: internal barndoors, CMY color mixing and color temperature control, fully linear zoom, intensity control, power savings and much more.
CMY plus color wheel and CTO
An enhanced CMY color mixing system gives a wide range of color choices across the spectrum plus a broad range of uniform pastels. A fixed color wheel houses 7 interchangeable slots for an even broader color range. The color gamut is complemented with a variable CTO.
The MAC III Wash uses a large 9” Fresnel lens for a distinctive fat beam look. An optional clear PC lens is also available.
Dimmer / Shutter
A smooth dimming system offers a choice of four dimming curves, fades that are completely uniform across the beam all the way to blackout. It also includes a separate shutter for fast and punchy strobe effects as well as a total front lens blackout.
Exceptionally quiet for such a powerful fixture, the MAC III Wash is a natural choice for the theatre and television markets and is the ideal high-performance wash light for touring, corporate and special events.
