Lighting industry veteran Eric Loader has left his role as vice president of sales and marketing at Martin US to take on the role of director of sales for Elation Professional and Acclaim Lighting, divisions within the American DJ Group of Companies. “There are few people who have such vast knowledge and experience in all phases of the lighting business as Eric Loader,” says Scott Davies, general manager of the American DJ Group of Companies. “We are honored and delighted to welcome Eric on board.” A California native, Loader is actually rejoining American DJ, since he worked for the Los Angeles company at the beginning of his career. “This is a homecoming of sorts for me,” says Loader. “Some of the same people I worked with at American DJ back then are still employed there today.” Loader will be relocating to Los Angeles with his wife Mea and daughter Makena…LD Chris Parry is having a very busy new year. In December, he designed a musical at the Patravadi Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand called Chalawan, a traditional Thai folk-story about a magic crocodile with two wives. This month, he's lighting the American premiere of Hitchcock Blonde at South Coast Rep, with sets by Bill Dudley. And next up is The Constant Wife at the Old Globe, with sets by Ralph Funicello…LDs Bob Dickinson and Patrick Woodroffe are teaming up to light the Rolling Stones during the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show. PRG is supplying the gear…Wendall Harrington and Allen Moyer are doing projections and scenery for the upcoming Playwrights Horizons production of Grey GardensAlex Nerad has joined the Elburn, IL-based sales, rental, and production company GhostLight Enterprises, Inc. as sales manager and Joe Andersen has joined as operations manager…Abigail Rosen Holmes has designed the lighting for the Martina McBride tour out now, featuring what she calls a “very pretty set” designed by Tom McPhillipsLex Products Corp has added three new personnel to its staff: Tom Siko (sales and customer service), Bill Froelich (manufacturing manager), and Michael Scala (plant manager)…Zachary Borovay is the projection designer for two upcoming projects: JAP: The Princesses of Comedy, which opened in Ft. Lauderdale and is scheduled to move to New York in April, and A Safe Harbor for Elizabeth Bishop, with sets by Jeff Cowie and lights by Russell Champa in March…Stephen Shea has joined the Nautilus Entertainment Design (NED) team as a project manager, working on NED's maritime and land-based projects, including the entertainment systems for the Cunard Queen Victoria and the Hewlett Packard Halo traveling exhibit…Baby News: Projection designer Elaine McCarthy and husband Randy Briggs of Scharff Weisberg are the proud parents of a little girl, Elizabeth Grace, born Dec. 27.
