LD Patrick Woodroffe is designing the Australian version of The Boy From Oz: The Arena Tour, starring Hugh Jackman, with 2006 dates to such cities as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Woodroffe is also working on a new opera, Qualia, for the new opera house in Valencia, Spain, set to premiere in October, and is also working on the second towers of the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas…Abigail Rosen Holmes is working on the lighting design for Shakira, starting with a ten-city stint in Spain before coming to the US in August…Production designer Clint E.B. Ramos just completed two productions for which he designed sets and costumes: Trial by Water, produced by Ma-Yi Theatre (at The Culture Project) and Little Willy, produced by Rude Mechanicals (at The Ohio Theatre)…Jered E. Widmer has been named an associate at the architectural lighting firm, The Lighting Practice in Philadelphia…Paul Bartlett, production manager, technical director, and lighting designer, has joined Studio T+L as an associate. Studio T+L's current projects include a master plan for the Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack, NY, and a black box theatre for Clarkstown High School in New City…John Lee Beatty is doing the sets and Brian MacDevitt the lighting (with costumes by Catherine Zuber) for Richard Greenberg's new play, The House In Town, set to open on June 19 at the Lincoln Center Theater in New York City…The Water's Edge has its New York City premiere on June 15 at Second Stage Theatre, with sets by Alexander Dodge and lighting by Francis Aronson (costumes by Junghyun Georgia Lee and sound by Vincent Olivieri)…The Stratford Festival of Canada's production of Dion Boucicault's romantic comedy, London Assurance, opened on June 1 and runs in repertory through October 21, with sets and costumes by Desmond Heeley and lighting by Michael J. Whitfield.
