David Gallo, Thomas Hase, Miguel Huidor, and Zachary Borovay are designing Stage Entertainment's new production of The Wiz in Utrecht Holland this summer…Designer Larry Hartman is now working at production company Jack Morton Design/PDG, where he will be working on primarily broadcast set designs…Three lighting designers have been tapped for the New York premiere of Tom Stoppard's trilogy, The Coast of Utopia, to be performed as three separate productions at Lincoln Center Theatre next season, with openings in November, December, and February. LDs Brian MacDevitt, Kenneth Posner, and Natasha Katz will each design one part of the trilogy, which has original music and sound design by Mark Bennett and sets by Bob Crowley…Kevin “Stick” Bye and Benny Kirkham are designing lighting for the upcoming Toni Braxton show at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, opening August 3 and running for approximately six months…Puppeteer extraordinaire Basil Twist will create bunraku style puppets, including a 12' tall witch, for the Houston Grand Opera's new production of Hansel and Gretel, set to premiere in December. Twist will also direct and design the scenery for the production.
