LEDtronics® has appointed John Henckel as the new sales representative for Northern Europe (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria). Henckel brings 35 years of experience in electronics, manufacturing and sales to the solid-state lighting arena.

4Wall Entertainment announced the appointment of Michael Friedman as vice president of business development. Friedman will focus on marketing and sales to the architectural and themed entertainment design community.

Alan Keen has been named product marketing manager for Entertainment Technology. With 13 years of entertainment lighting experience as a designer, consultant, project manager, and technician, Keen will manage new product development and spearhead the launch of new IGBT dimming products.

The Genlyte Group Inc. (Nasdaq: GLYT) has reached an agreement to acquire the 32% minority interest owned by Thomas Industries Inc. (NYSE: TII) in Genlyte Thomas Group LLC (GTG). Prior to the closing of this transaction The Genlyte Group Incorporated will hold a 68% interest in Genlyte Thomas Group LLC, which is a leading manufacturer of lighting fixtures, controls, and related products for the commercial, industrial, and residential markets. Genlyte Thomas sells products under the major brand names of Capri, Chloride Systems, Crescent, Day-Brite, Gardco, Hadco, Ledalite, Lightolier, Lightolier Controls, Lumec, Shakespeare Composite Structures, Stonco, Thomas, Vari-Lite, and Wide-Lite in the United States and Canlyte and Thomas in Canada.

Jeffrey I.L. Miller, IALD, has joined Pivotal, the Lighting Design Group of Affiliated Engineers (AEI), as director of lighting design. Mr. Miller will direct the creative efforts of the two Pivotal studios in Madison and Seattle focusing on architectural projects with the seven lighting designers in these two locations.

Robe Show Lighting expands its sales team with the addition of Ingo Dombrowski as business development manager. Dombrowski will be based in Germany, and his responsibilities will include providing worldwide support for international sales, handling key accounts, and developing specific new commercial opportunities and special projects.

UK-based LED lighting design and manufacturer i-Vision has appointed two new European distributors. In Germany, Munich-based Richard Schahl Group GmbH (the world's largest lamp distributors) will be promoting the i-Vision brand, and, in Ireland, the company has partnered up with Dublin-based FibreLED.

Techni-Lux, Inc. of Orlando, Florida, has expanded its team to include Rose Crowe as its marketing and media coordinator. Crowe brings with her a diverse background including theatre, web design, and retail product placement. Some of her most recent work has been involving innovative web and graphic design for local production companies in the area.

Color Kinetics Incorporated has announced the appointment of William Groener as vice president, North America sales, overseeing direct and channel sales for the company's Lighting Systems business. Groener will be responsible for domestic sales force and affiliates operating across many distribution channels.

Warren Flynn and Brian E. Kuehne have announced the formation of a new design partnership, Spacecoast Visual to serve the corporate theatre and concert touring markets. Flynn is probably best known for his work on Broadway including the Tony-winning musicals Thoroughly Modern Millie and Wicked. Kuehne has worked as a programmer, designer, and video director for productions including the 2001 and 2002 John Mellencamp summer tours, but his specialty is corporate theatre.

The Martin Professional head office in Denmark has added Peter Dahlin to its team. Dahlin's main responsibility as area sales manager will be sales support for Martin's Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets. Besides facilitating business in Spain, Portugal, and South and Central America, Peter will support a number of Eastern European countries.
