Vari-Lite International Inc. has sold its stock of Vari*Lite(R) automated lighting equipment located in Australia to local distributor Jands. Vari-Lite has also appointed Jands to be the exclusive distributor of Vari*Lite products to be sold in Australia and New Zealand.
Rusty Brutsche, chairman and chief executive officer of Vari-Lite International Inc., says, "The sale of our interest in the Australian rental business and the appointment of Jands as our exclusive sales distributor of Vari*Lite products for Australia and New Zealand is a natural progression of our relationship with Jands, which has rented automated lighting equipment into these markets since 1986. Jands will continue to meet the rental needs of these markets and provide the same level of service and support to customers that would prefer to purchase Vari*Lite equipment."
