The TEA's Wright turn

The Themed Entertainment Association will welcome a new president at its annual meeting at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions show on November 20. John Wright, principal of Sun Valley, CA-based Lexington Scenery & Props, is replacing Peter Chernack of Metavision, who held the post for two years.

Wright plans to start an advisory council that will include representatives from both the TEA's 600-plus members and end users. He says the council's main purpose "will be to open a dialogue between the two groups, and help us understand the direction in which venue owners and developers are heading."

In other association news, the TEA-Europe division was launched at the TILE Conference in Strasbourg, France, in June. For more information, call the TEA's main office at 818/843-8497 or contact Peter Ed (ETC Europe's leisure market development manager) at 44/181/896-1000.
