GAM Products SX4 Slide-In Trays
The GAM Products SX4 Slide-In interchangeable trays converts ETC Source Four® Spotlights into a scenic projector or six-gobo changer, for 575W incandescent or HMI sources. The patented system offers a variety of projected effects. The loop tray projects continuous patterns such as clouds, fire, water, and other motion effects. The six-gobo tray projects one of six glass or metal patterns from one spotlight. This can be DMX controlled or select from built-in preprogrammed sequences. The disc tray rotates 8 1/2" GAM FX/Disc. Custom and stock designs are available.

Jands JLX6 Lighting Bar
Jands has unveiled a new lighting bar called the JLX6, a modular pre-wired lighting bar system featuring a central load-bearing extrusion with punched steel side panels, providing two segregated wiring compartments. The JLX6 is suitable for fixed or portable applications. A strut style channel at the top and bottom of the duct allows a variety of fixing methods including fly wires, chain motors, hook clamps, or fixed support points. Multiple JLX6s can be joined, and the top-mounted cable management system allows cables from adjacent JLX6s to be routed along the top of the adjacent bar. Each JLX6 is supplied as a 7.75' long duct with an underslung 9.7' long steel 2" OD rigging bar.

Goddard Design Virtual Magic Sheet
A simple drag-and-drop program, the Virtual Magic Sheet is a software package enabling a designer to animate his “magic sheet.” Operating in real time, it uses Art-Net data into a PC or Mac to display the lighting system data the way you want it. Icons include dimmable channels, color scrollers, CMY color changers, and RBG fixtures. Specialized icons for special purpose channels are included.

Lynx Studios Aurora Digital Converters
The new Aurora line of digital audio converters from Lynx Studio Technology offers audio quality and control in single-rack space 8- and 16-channel models. The Aurora 8 and Aurora 16 feature 192 kHz analog to digital and digital to analog conversion with front panel control of all routing and sample rate options. Extended functions in Aurora are accessible via computer with the Lynx AES16 or by infrared using compatible laptops and handheld Pocket PCs. The rear panel has MIDI In and Out connectors and an LSlot bay for the use of optional ADAT, Firewire, and other audio interface cards. All primary functions are controlled from Aurora's front panel, with extended and remote control available via computer and Pocket PC. The on-board 32-channel digital mixer provides routing and mixing options. Acting as its own powerful patch bay style digital router, Aurora can route signals between analog and digital inputs on a channel-by-channel basis. Mixing capability on each output also provides flexible zero latency monitoring. The AES16 also provides much more detailed metering of all channels. In addition, the AES16 allows complete Aurora scenes to be saved and recalled.

Renkus-Heinz has announced worldwide availability of EASERA®, the electronic and acoustic system evaluation and response analyzer from Software Design Ahnert GmbH. EASERA offers a wide variety of audio test and measurement tools — MLS (Maximum Length Sequence), TDS (Time Delay Spectrometry), and dual-FFT — available to anyone with a laptop PC and a “good” sound card. EASERA takes advantage of GHz CPU performance to turn a sound card-equipped laptop computer into a complete audio measurement system and analysis tool that offers access to multiple views of the same measurements. Four independent modules — a measurement module, a signal generator, a real-time analyzer, and a post-processing module — are included in the program. EASERA is a two-channel measurement system with a maximum sample rate of 48 kHz. EASERA PRO allows up to 32 simultaneous inputs and outputs with individual volume controls, record and playback modes, and re-sampling at sample rates of up to 192 kHz. Measurements can be taken using a variety of stimulus signals: Time Delay Spectrometry, a sweep, a MLS, a noise excitation signal, or custom user-defined signals. EASERA supports up to 32-bit data resolution (hardware dependent), and can compensate for the hardware frequency response as well as for the loudspeaker and microphone used. An automated input volume control maximizes S/N.

Alcons Audio RBN1801 Pro-Ribbon Driver
Alcons Audio's RBN1801 pro-ribbon driver is a new mid/high frequency transducer designed for high-output and high-fidelity professional sound reproduction applications. Based on the principles of Isophasic planar driver technology, the RBN1801 sports an effective radiation length of 18"/46cm, offers an extreme power handling of 3kW (for 200ms) and a high efficiency of 108dB with 1W at 1m. With a 90° wave-guide, this efficiency even rises to 110dB, with a frequency operating range of 1kHz-20kHz (+/-3dB) and a maximum SPL of 145dB. As a result of the symmetric “push/pull” design, not only is the 1801 completely magnetically shielded, it also functions as a dipole cylindrical radiator. The mid/high frequency transducer features Alcons Audio's patented “Real-90” dispersion, a unique development providing for a constant horizontal directivity of 90° up to 20kHz.

Listen Technologies Corporation unveiled a new version of its LT-800 Stationary FM Transmitter for wireless audio solutions. The new transmitter, available in both 72MHz and 216MHz versions, includes several new features that give users optimal flexibility and control of the audio transmission. While the transmitter maintains an 80dB signal-to-noise ratio, it has a new face. Listen's signature Look&Listen™ LCD screen, which shows the channel status, channel lock, signal strength, and programming, enables users to see and select the appropriate settings. FiberPlex, Inc., has unveiled a new flush-mounting wall panel enclosure option for its Light Viper™ VIS-1832 fiber optic unit, designed for digital data communications. For touring/mobile customer applications, the Light Viper VIS-1832 consists of a traditional and compact 32×8 audio input Stage Box and a complementary 1U rack unit (Model VIM-1832) installed at the main house audio mixing position. Connecting these two components is accomplished with a lightweight military specification fiber-optic cable weighing less than two pounds per one hundred feet of cable run. Light Viper's fiber optic cable offers total signal path isolation between both stage and mixer as well as between the mixer and power amplification; the cable is totally immune to ground loops, RFI, EMI and electro-mechanical noise, and runs of up to 1 1/4 miles (6,600') can be easily accomplished without signal loss or degradation.
