Our First Quarter-Century

Welcome to Lighting Dimensions' 25th Anniversary issue. (Oh, to be 25 again.) What a ride it has been. There are two words I use when discussing Lighting Dimensions and sister publication Entertainment Design: professionalism and relationships. For 25 years we have built Lighting Dimensions on those two principles. We are proud to be an international publishing leader in the entertainment and architectural lighting community, a community built upon professionalism and building relationships. Our industry and Lighting Dimensions would not be possible without the loyalty of our 15,000 readers: lighting and entertainment technology professionals dedicated to creating the perfect look with the help of ever-expanding product choices. Lighting Dimensions would not be possible without our dedicated advertisers who communicate their companies' benefits to our readers every month. Each year, several companies and organizations celebrate their own important milestones. Congratulations to some of the friends who turned 25 this year as well: Creative Stage Lighting in North Creek, NY, Le Maitre Sales Ltd. in the UK, and our colleagues at PLASA in the UK. Last, but not least, Lighting Dimensions would not exist without the professionalism and wit of our staff who work tirelessly to deliver the magazine to you every month. Special kudos to editor David Barbour, consulting editor Ellen Lampert-Gréaux, technical editor Michael Eddy, and advertising sales managers Adrienne Gurman and Holly O'Hair. Join us for a toast at the PLASA show in London this month, and at our own 15-year-old baby sister, LDI, this October in Las Vegas.
