The Lucille Lortel Awards, which honor the best of Off Broadway, were handed out on May 5 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Set designer Alexander Dodge and lighting designer Don Holder were both honored for their work on the Lincoln Center production of the Frank McGuinness play Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme. Michael Bottari and Ronald Case took home the award for Outstanding Costume Design for Shanghai Moon, and Brett Jarvis won for Outstanding Sound Design for Avenue Q.
