Lightfair Expands Conference Schedule

Lightfair International 2003, which will take place May 6-8 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, announces the addition of the Lightfair Institute to this year's conference program. The Lightfair Institute will be held May 3-4, and will consist of six two-day intensive courses of instruction focused on attendee participation. These courses are: Basic Lighting; Intermediate Lighting; Light, Perception, and Culture; Daylighting; AutoCAD 101; and Presentation Techniques for Lighting Professionals.

In addition, the annual pre-conference workshops will be held May 5, and will consist of six three-hour workshops and three six-hour workshops. Titles include Energy and Environmental Codes and Issues; Designing with LEDs; Win, Lose, or Draw: Developing Lighting Details.

The conference seminars, which run simultaneously with the trade show, will consist of 27 broad-based, in-depth architectural lighting seminars on four tracks: design, commerce, management, and technology. Titles include Working the Shadows, Creating Emotional Response through Lighting, Does Your Client Understand You?, and They're Small, They're Cute, but Can They Do the Job?

The entire Lightfair International 2003 Conference will provide AIA, ASID, IESNA, IFMA, IIDA accreditation, upon individual association approval, and is registered with NCQLP for LEU credit.
