JJI Lighting Group expands with purchase

JJI Lighting Group Inc. of Greenwich, CT, has acquired Shelby, NC-based Ardee Lighting/USA. JJI Lighting Group now has 13 manufacturing and marketing subsidiaries. The company serves as the central organization for a diversified group of indoor and outdoor, commercial, and residential lighting manufacturers throughout the US, including Architectural Landscape Lighting, Alkco, d'ac, Guth, Hessamerica, High-Lites, LAM, Morlite, Nessen, Quality, Specialty, and Vista.

Ardee Lighting/USA was established in 1990 by Herbert and Stephanie Freed as a manufacturer of low-voltage lighting. High power capacity allows the use of higher lamp wattages over long lengths of continuous, uninterrupted lighting in vertical, horizontal, concave, or convex designs.

JJI recently announced the appointment of Victor Wittmann as Northeast regional vice president of the company. Wittmann, who will provide sales and presentation support, will serve as factory headquarters liaison for JJI policy and procedural matters in the New England and Mid-Atlantic states.

Wittmann holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Penn State University, where he received the President's Award for academic excellence. Prior to joining JJI, he most recently served as national sales manager for the ExceLine division of Genlyte Inc. Previously he held sales positions at Landis & Gyr Powers Inc. and Reliance Electric Co. Inc.
