Entertainment technology is finding its way into more and more houses of worship, where professional audio, lighting, and video are adding inspiration to the service. With this in mind, a special track of sessions has been developed in conjunction with Technologies for Worship magazine for The Entertainment Technology Show-LDI2004, October 22-24, in Las Vegas. Accent on Lighting: A Guide to Understanding Lighting System Design for Installation

The basics of proper lighting for houses of worship, from the different aspects of the design phase for a lighting system to how and when to choose a consultant and what is involved in a lighting system with an emphasis on church design.

Church Lighting for Television and Video Projection

Innovative solutions for integrating traditional church architectural lighting with the new demands of television, video projection, and drama ministries. Issues such as color temperature, foot-candles, depth of field, camera angles, and scenic backgrounds will be discussed, as well as, lighting fixture types, architectural positions and fixture control, plus guidelines for producing a light plot for your facility. Taught by scenic and lighting designer Paul Wonsek of Paul Wonsek Associates.

Understanding Intelligent Fixtures and When to Make the Leap

Multimedia in the worship environment is becoming an ever-increasing part of today's church service. This class will show you how to effectively use PowerPoint to enhance your entire worship experience from 10 minutes prior to your first service until 10 minutes after your last service! Taught by technical director/audio-video engineer David Rauch.

Video and RF Distribution Throughout the Church Campus

This seminar focuses on distribution methods of video and RF signals through a church facility. The basic components of a cable TV system will be explained and by the conclusion, the attendee will have enough information to develop a small system in their own church.
