The Themed Entertainment Association's nominations committee has announced that the TEA board of directors has unanimously approved Peter Chernack, CEO of Metavision Corp., as president of the Burbank, CA-based organization for a second year.
"Peter has taken the position that it is time to run the TEA as a business relative to its focus and mission," says nominations committee chair Monty Lunde. "The board of directors believe that Peter's current leadership direction and continuity are vital to the long-term success of the TEA."
In other TEA news, the fourth Annual THEA Awards Gala is being held September 13 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Lunde says a sell-out crowd of more than 500 is expected. "The winning entrants represent some of the most visible and highly themed entertainment projects in our industry. Plus there will be a few surprise winners," says show producer Ron Miziker.
