CHAMPA WINS BARRYMORE AWARD; ZETTY WINS JEFFERSON HONORS

Russell H. Champa received this year's Barrymore Award for Outstanding Lighting, The Barrymore Awards are given out annually to honor achievement in the Philadelphia-area theatre. Champa's work on the Wilma Theatre production of Red was cited.

In Chicago, A. Cameron Zetty won the Joseph Jefferson Award for his lighting of Journey's End, produced by the Seanachai Theatre company. Journey's End won in all design categories, except for costumes; that award went to the Marriott Theatre's production of Cats. Journey's End beat out a number of high-profile productions, including Sunday in the Park With George at Chicago Shakespeare and The Beard of Avon at the Goodman.
