Hartley Peavey, chairman and chief executive officer of the Meridian, MS-based Peavey Electronics Corporation, and John Lee, president of the Paramus, NJ-based Crest Audio, Inc., have announced the formation of a strategic alliance between their respective companies. According to both parties, the alliance is designed to provide a sharing of resources and a blending of proprietary technologies that will "foster substantial growth and expanded market presence for both companies." Peavey Electronics and Crest Audio will continue with separate operations in their existing locations.Michael MacDonald, most recently vice president of marketing at JBL Professional in Northridge, CA, has been promoted to the position of president. He reports to Mark Terry, who now serves as the company's chief executive officer. The promotion follows the company's recent reorganization of the Harman Pro Group into two geographic-based operating units, Harman Pro Group, America, and Harman Pro Group, International.The latest on the Production Resource Group front: industry veteran Bill Groener has signed on as its director of Northeast sales, following stints at Strand Lighting and Barbizon, and a number of years in design and production. The PRG Lighting Group, meanwhile, is consolidating its Northeast locations under one roof, at a 130,000-sq.-ft. facility just a few minutes from New York City. Jeff Turner, formerly with Vanco Lighting Services in Orlando, is the general manager of the new Northeast headquarters. Glenn Wade is returning to the US as Production Arts' film and video rentals manager for the New York area. Wade spent more than three years in London with Production Arts Europe. Alison Gill has been appointed sales manager of PA Europe, while Paul Highfield will continue as its technical manager. Lastly, PRG has appointed Seth L. Klion as its chief administrative officer. Klion, most recently with New York-based management services company DDS Partners LLC, will work from PRG's headquarters in New Windsor, NY.
