Last year, a few people asked why we always ran info about the yearly NYU Design Show but not about other design shows for other schools. Well, we said, it was because NYU sends us the information. We encouraged others to send in information about their school's design show.
So guess what? NYU was the only school to send in anything again this year. And for that we applaud their efforts. This year, six set designers, six costume designers, two set and costume designers, four lighting designers, and two set and film designers will be featured at the annual show. The opening reception will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2003, 5-8pm, at the Tisch School of the Arts, Department of Design for Stage and Film, 721 Broadway (between Waverly and Washington Place), third floor. Admission is free and open to the public. In addition to the opening reception, there will be a session with the graduating students present, on Saturday, May 10, 2-5pm.
