The Allen & Heath GR8A is an eight-channel rackmounted amplifier that is suitable for standalone use, as well as operation with other Allen & Heath products, such as the DR series of digital mixers or the GR zone mixers. Among the features: a compact 2RU enclosure, a capacity of 60W into 4ohms, and channels which can be bridged in pairs as required, giving 120W into 8ohms. Inputs are via balanced XLR-type connectors, and the front panel controls can be removed to prevent tampering by unauthorized personnel. A monitoring system allows direct speaker line monitoring of each amplifier output from a front panel headphone receptacle, or rear panel monitor jack - both at the correct level for headphones.
