Eric Gazzillo has been elevated to the role of Director of Innovation to head up Quince Imaging’s ongoing effort to expand its emerging video technologies. The new Innovation business unit, which is headquartered in Quince Imaging’s broadcast studio, Studio Q, is dedicated to engineering hybrid and virtual event systems, designing augmented and extended reality solutions, and creating custom virtual fan solutions for sporting events. As Director of Innovation at Quince Imaging, Eric will lead the expansion of Quince Imaging’s service offerings and capabilities, innovation team, and capacity to create a variety of the world’s most unique, live-video applications. He will be responsible for spearheading Quince Imaging’s efforts to cultivate and nurture live events solutions to a diverse base of clients across live professional and collegiate sports and Esports, corporate events and broadcast video market sectors.
In his position as Producer and Display Designer at Quince Imaging, Gazzillo was instrumental in positioning Quince Imaging to become a premier provider of live events solutions to corporate, government, professional/collegiate sports and Esports organizations. Gazzillo has over 15 years of experience working across all market sectors of live performance, including serving as events host to Fortune 500 companies, Grammy Award-winning musicians, and nationally televised athletic events. He led and directed live experience for the 2020 NFL Draft, serving as Fan Producer for all 32 NFL teams, project managed real-time control systems for 2019 and 2020 Esports’ League of Legends World Championships, and served as Augmented Reality Engineering Consultant for Super Bowl LIV. As the economy shifted due to the impact of COVID-19, and live events were postponed or cancelled, Eric was instrumental in securing Quince Imaging’s position in the industry by devising sophisticated, multi-tiered solutions to virtual production for flexible, reliable, and safe remote and hybrid live events.
Over the course of his career, Eric’s work has been recognized as exemplifying the avant-garde of high-resolution video technology, control systems, and real-time rendering technology. Prior to joining Quince Imaging, Eric served in various roles, specializing in live events and media server technology, always modeling sophistication and innovation in his designs. Eric earned an MFA from The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Integrated Media for Live Performance, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Design and Technology from Towson University.
