Robe’s MegaPointe is aptly named, the beefed-up version of its sister hybrid luminaire, Pointe, introduced in 2013. A newly designed effects engine can produce 12 varying beam and flower effects, while the beam can also be shaped using shutter emulation. From its Osram Sirius HRI 470 W RO source, the fixture works its effects magic via static and rotating gobos and six prisms on two wheels, all while sporting a zoom range of 1.8° to 21° in beam mode and 3° to 42° in spot mode. “It just has a ton of options, and I’m especially loving the two loaded prism wheels,” says a judge. robe.cz
